By launching on the folding market, Apple would send a strong signal: the manufacturer does not intend to leave this segment in the hands of its competitors. Finally, the brand would prepare a more radical overhaul for 2027, a symbolic year marking the 20th anniversary of the very first iPhone. This anniversary model would adopt fully rounded glass edges, abandoning the flat slices design introduced with the iPhone 12 in 2020. The idea would be to marry the hardware and software: these curves would recall the Liquid Glass of iOS 26, with its reflections and fluid animations (and its readability problems, etc.).
An ultra -fine iPhone, followed by a foldable model, then an anniversary edition with fully redesigned lines: if Apple manages to hold this calendar, Tim Cook could well turn the flame to consumers, as in the big hours of the iPhone.
