For years, Mallorca, a beloved holiday destination, has struggled to curb what authorities term “filling tourism”—the disruptive behavior of tourists, notably young British and German visitors, known for excessive drinking and public disturbances. Past efforts have yielded limited success, but this year, the island is implementing a more robust strategy.

The plan includes a considerable deployment of police officers in areas prone to disturbances,effectively doubling the presence in Playa de Palma compared to the previous year. Many officers will operate undercover, and mounted police will also be deployed.
