FLPP Loans: Low Uptake by Informal Workers

He said that since 2010, the government has distributed more than IDR 141 trillion in FLPP funds for 1.81 million low-income housing units (MBR).

“This year the FLPP target has increased significantly to 350,000 units, an increase of almost 60 percent compared to previous years,” Doddy said.

According to him, the annual increase in the Budget Execution List of the General State Treasurer (DIPA BUN) is proof that the FLPP is a national priority program throughout the government.

Doddy said BP Tapera is pushing to accelerate housing construction and KPR approval so that the target can be achieved in the remaining two months.

He also called on developers to improve the quality of buildings and infrastructure so that MBR can get decent housing.

Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, known colloquially as Ara, said subsidized houses must spread throughout Indonesia to achieve social justice for society.

The government, according to him, continues to encourage the use of assistance funds for housing financing through the FLPP Sejahtera KPR Subsidy which is administered and distributed by the Public Housing Savings Management Agency. (Ant)
