The National Hurricane Center tagged two areas of interest in the Atlantic Ocean, including one over Florida. Central Tropical Atlantic – Tropical waveA tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa over the next two days. This wave is expected to interact with another disturbance over the eastern tropical Atlantic, and some development is possible as the system moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph. This wave is expected to interact with another disturbance over the eastern tropical Atlantic, and some development is possible as the system moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph.

Disturbance over Florida

An area of low pressure may form near the northwestern Bahamas and southern Florida by Saturday.

The disturbance is expected to bring rain to Florida.

However, additional development is expected to be slow as the system moves across the Florida peninsula into the Gulf.
