FORWARDS
Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk have been central to the Panthers’ evolution into a playoff powerhouse. Barkov, who debuted as an 18-year-old rookie in 2013, holds Florida’s records for regular-season goals (277), assists (468), and points (745) over 766 games and 12 seasons. Barkov led the team to its first Stanley Cup title in 2023, guiding the franchise with 59 points (19 goals and 40 assists) in 71 playoff appearances.
Matthew Tkachuk, acquired in 2022, significantly elevated the Panthers’ game by energizing the roster and chiseling a winning mentality. His presence on the ice contributed to an average of 1.20 points per game, making him the highest-scoring player in franchise history with at least 20 games played. In just three seasons, Tkachuk amassed 232 points (79 goals and 153 assists) in 193 regular-season contests and helped Florida reach the Stanley Cup Final the following two years with 46 playoff points (17 goals and 29 assists).
Jonathan Huberdeau’s tenure in Florida, spanning nearly a decade, netted him 613 points (198 goals and 415 assists) in 671 regular-season games. His contributions during his time with the Panthers will forever be etched in the franchise’s legacy.
DEFENSEMEN
Defensemen Aaron Ekblad and Gustav Forsling have been integral to the Panthers’ championship push. Ekblad is not only the franchise’s all-time leader among defensemen for regular-season goals (117), assists (250), and points (367) over 715 games and 11 seasons but has also secured third place in playoff history with 20 points (four goals and 16 assists) in 64 games.
Gustav Forsling has quickly established himself as one of the league’s top shutdown defensemen. Forsling has been a key member ever since the Panthers claimed him off waivers from the Carolina Hurricanes in 2021. Forsling ranks seventh in franchise history among defensemen with 148 points (43 goals and 105 assists) in 314 regular-season games. His powerful playmaking presence during the postseason, with 26 points (seven goals and 19 assists) in 61 games, places him second in franchise playoff scoring among blueliners.
GOALIE
Roberto Luongo, a cornerstone during his two stints with the Panthers over 11 seasons (2000-06 and 2014-19), served as the franchise’s primary netminder prior to their championship era. He holds the Florida Panthers records for games played (572), wins (230), and shutouts (38) while recording a 2.62 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage during his regular-season tenure. Although limited in playoff appearances, Luongo, who retired in 2019 and was enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022, helped define the Panthers’ goaltending legacy.
