Fito Páez Embarks on U.S. Tour, Sharing Musical Wisdom and Performing Iconic Hits


A Maestro’s Journey Through American Music and Education

Argentine rock icon Fito Páez recently concluded a significant tour across the USA, captivating audiences in Washington D.C, Boston, and New York. The tour wasn’t just about performances; it was a deep dive into music education and a celebration of Latin American musical heritage. Páez engaged with students, shared insights into his creative process, and performed some of his most beloved songs.

Improvisation at the Libary of Congress: A Moment in History

One of the tour’s highlights was an exclusive invitation to the Library of Congress in Washington D. C.Here, Fito Páez had the unique possibility to play the piano once owned by the legendary jazz composer george Gershwin. This impromptu performance was a powerful moment,connecting Páez’s contemporary artistry with the rich history of American music. The Library of Congress holds over 3,000 musical instruments, making it a significant repository of musical history (Library of Congress, 2024).

He was invited to a private visit to the Congress Library in Washington D. C where he could improvise for a while on the piano of the jazz composer George Gershwin.

Masterclass at Berklee: Inspiring the Next Generation

Fito Páez also shared his expertise at Berklee College of Music, delivering a masterclass to eager students. For over two hours, he discussed his influences, creative processes, and the inspirations behind his work, including his recently released album, “Novela.” This session was based on an essay he had been developing for three years. Notably, ari Páez received the Berklee master of latin Music Award in 2015, highlighting the family’s deep connection to the institution and Latin music education.

From there he went to Berklee’s music school for a master class where he shared an essay that has been writing three years full of inspiration, influences and creativity for more than two hours for students who were in a row to attend.

A Grand Finale in New York: Intimate Performances and Lasting Impressions

The tour culminated at The Greene Space of New York Public Radio,located at the Grammy Museum,with an evening of conversation and music. Fito Páez performed a selection of his classic songs, including I come to offer my heart, A dress and a love, and part of the air. He also included a special “living room session” featuring Tecknicolor butterfly, creating an intimate and memorable experience for the audience. The evening served as a fitting end to his American journey, leaving a lasting impact on fans and aspiring musicians alike.
