Fisher Canyon Juniper Treatment Decision Released | Lakeview Field Office

The Bureau of Land Management Lakeview Field Office has issued a decision record for a categorical exclusion to thin and control western juniper for ecological and habitat restoration. This project is designed to balance juniper management practices with conservation goals for sage-grouse while also enhancing mule deer habitat over the long term.

This project covers 9,092 acres approximately 9 miles northeast of Adel, Oregon within General and Priority Habitat Management Area for Greater sage-grouse and mule deer winter range.
