Fire In A Building In The Parish…

One person died and two were injured following a fire in a building on Rua Fábrica da Moagem, in the parish of Beato, which has now been extinguished, a source from the Lisbon Firefighters Regiment told Lusa.

“The alert for the fire was given at 6:10 am. The fire broke out on the fifth floor of a nine-story building on Rua Fábrica da Moagem. We have registered one fatality and two people had to be treated for smoke inhalation,” he said.

According to the same source, the building had to be evacuated.

At 7:50 am, several members and eight vehicles from the Lisbon Firefighters Regiment and the Lisbon Volunteer Firefighters were on site.
