Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was in shock after meeting with US President Donald Trump, Politico reports.

Fico told EU leaders at a summit last week that he was shocked by his meeting with Trump.

What happened during the meeting between Fico and Trump?

He said he was shocked by the psychological state of the US president. This was confirmed to Politico by five European diplomats familiar with the content of the conversation.

R. Fico is one of the few EU leaders who often supports D. Trump’s position on Europe’s weaknesses and has made scandalous statements about the war in Ukraine.

However, after the meeting with D. Trump, R. Fico expressed doubts about the “psychological state” of the US president. According to two diplomats, R. Fico, describing D. Trump’s actions, used the word that it is “dangerous”, reports “tv3.lt”.

The meeting took place in Florida on January 17. The conversation between R. Fico and his European colleagues took place on January 22 in Brussels. The Slovak prime minister did not share his observations during the official roundtable talks, but in a separate informal meeting attended by some leaders and high-ranking EU officials.

The sources do not reveal what R. Fico said to D. Trump.

“This is completely false information from anonymous European diplomats trying to be important. The meeting at Mar-a-Lago was positive and productive,” commented White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly.

A senior administration official who attended the meeting between Trump and Fico said he did not recall any awkward moments. He stated that the meeting was pleasant, normal and fun. However, a European diplomat said Fico appeared “traumatized” after meeting Trump. The diplomat said Fico had described Trump as “unhealthy.”
