From January 8 to 17 The Sant Antoni neighborhood, in the Pla del Real district, dresses up to celebrate San Antonio Abad with an extensive program of activities.
You will find two markets with typical foods, drinks, craft products and solidarity activities that fight for animal welfare with the collaboration of NGOs, shelters and associations.
There will also be entertainment with traditional Valencian music, workshops for the whole family and two of the most anticipated moments:fireworks and bonfirethe true protagonists of the party.
A very complete celebration that adds masses, the traditional coronation of the little pig—you know, the little pig that stands next to Saint Anthony in most of his images—and a guided procession with torches, music and dance.
To finish, on the 17th in the Parish of San Antonio you can attend theHigh Mass in honor of the patron saintto theblessing and the parade of animals.
You’ll love it!
