Ferrari India has officially listed the 12Cilindri on its website, opening it up for inquiries from sports car enthusiasts. Available in both Berlinetta and Spider versions, this high-performance vehicle made its debut in May 2024 at Miami Beach and is set to captivate Indian car lovers soon.
Design and Inspiration
The Ferrari 12Cilindri pays homage to the iconic Gran Turismo V12 models from 1947 onwards. Its aesthetic draws inspiration from the elegant designs of the 1950s and 1960s GT vehicles. One distinctive feature is the fixed black stripe on the hood, reminiscent of the Ferrari 365 GTB4 Daytona. Inside, the design reflects contemporary Ferrari models like the Purosangue and 296 GTB, blending classic with contemporary styling.
Engine and Performance
At the core of the Ferrari 12Cilindri is its mighty 6.5-litre V12 engine, the same powerhouse found in the Ferrari 812 Competizione. This 6,496 cc F140 V12 generates an impressive 818 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 678 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. The engine’s output is transmitted via an 8-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. Additionally, it achieves 0 to 200 kmph in an astounding 7.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 340 kmph.
Technical Specifications
The Ferrari 12Cilindri boasts a robust aluminum monocoque chassis, ensuring exceptional rigidity and handling. It is fitted with adaptive magnetic ride control for a smooth yet responsive ride. The brakes are carbon-ceramic discs, providing excellent stopping power. Downforce management is achieved through an active rear spoiler, optimizing performance on the track and road. Inside, the car features a fully digital infotainment system, an Apple CarPlay and Android Autocompatible passenger-side touchscreen, and premium leather upholstery on sport bucket seats. Advanced driving technologies such as advanced stability control, high-performance ABS, and launch control ensure optimal handling and safety.
Color Options
The Ferrari 12Cilindri Berlinetta offers a range of 7 standard colors: Argento Nurburgring, Bianco Artico, Blu Corsa, Celeste Trevi, Giallo Montecarlo, Rosso Corsa, and Rosso Imola. For the Spider version, buyers can choose from 5 colors: Bianco Artico, Blu Roma, Grigio Titanio, Rosso Corsa, and Rosso Imola. Each color choice highlights different facets of the car’s dynamic styling and attention to detail.
