Dragon Quest VII theoretically it’s like Final Fantasy VIIa certain legend for the series. It’s no wonder that it was decided to refresh it, although in this case we already have one remaster behind us. Visually Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will offer three-dimensional graphics. Character models are based on original drawings by the late Akira Toriyama and try to faithfully imitate the original. The combat system has also been modified, which is still turn-based, but this time more “dynamic”. What does it mean? If you were hoping for something active, you will be a bit disappointed, because it is simply possible to speed up battles, remove pauses between turns or even conduct fights automatically. Moreover, weaker opponents can be eliminated immediately. I guess not everyone will be happy with such facilities, but remember that they are optional.

Many people got lost in it, but an equally large group were attracted by its technical details and old-school setting. Now the creators are announcing a great return, which will improve and modernize key elements to allow you to fully enjoy the scenario and the world created. This can, and even should, be a candidate for the title of RPG of 2026. The foundations themselves bode well, and nothing shaky is likely to be built on them.
