A Vibrant Showcase of Rural Talent
The 6th heart Farmers’ Festival,a collaborative effort between the Dongseong Farmers Association and the Ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism,recently concluded,leaving a lasting impression on participants and attendees alike. Held in commemoration of Ho Chi Minh’s 135th birthday, the festival drew over 170 participants from 11 groups representing various villages, cities, and regions within the Saddle area. This event served as a platform to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and artistic talents of the region’s farmers.

Re-Puok Jung, chairman of the Ministry of Farmers’ Association, emphasized the festival’s role in bolstering the farmers’ movement and promoting cultural arts. Aligned with the “Building New Rural and Civilized Cities” campaign, the festival aimed to strengthen community bonds, enrich the cultural landscape, and further elevate the significance of folk songs and traditions. This initiative reflects a broader trend of cultural preservation and promotion in rural communities, as highlighted by UNESCO’s ongoing efforts to safeguard intangible cultural heritage worldwide.
The 2025 Saddle Farmers’ Festival aims to build new rural and civilized cities, contributing to strengthening the binding and building a richer and more stunning hometown, further promoting the value of folk songs.

“Singing and Listening to the Rural Story”: Performances that Resonated
The festival’s theme, Singing and Listening to the Rural Story,
set the stage for a series of captivating performances. Each unit presented unique solo and duet acts, often incorporating vibrant painting dances that expressed a deep love for the country and gratitude towards the nation. These performances also shared personal narratives of farmers’ daily lives, their dedication to the land, and their affection for the Saddle region’s rice fields. The performances offered a glimpse into the heart of rural life, showcasing the resilience and artistry of the farming community.
Authenticity and Passion on Display
Attendees were moved by the raw emotion and dedication evident in each performance. While the performers may not have possessed polished stage skills, their heartfelt delivery and genuine connection to the material resonated deeply with the audience. Each unit brought a unique story of the land to the stage, whether it was the challenges of Chaudog’s Viaba season, the simple pleasures of Cape Cape, or the charm of the Tancha Woo River City. These stories, woven into song and dance, painted a vivid picture of rural life in the Saddle region.
You have to attend this festival directly to see the love and “artistic” qualities in the “hard” people all year round. they were not good at stage skills, but they performed with all their strength.
Audience Enthusiasm and Recognition
Ho Nung-ok, an audience member from Long Xuyan, expressed admiration for the performers’ dedication and artistry. Despite their demanding work in the fields, the farmers’ songs and lyrics were described as sweet
and inspiring, particularly for younger generations. Ngok was particularly impressed by the Anpu region’s performance, praising the vrey rural
and artistic
rendition of “Vọng Cổ,” a conventional Vietnamese musical form. This enthusiasm reflects a growing appreciation for rural arts and culture among younger audiences.
Triton’s Dedication to Land,People,and Tourism
Ho Cam Kim of the TRI TON team shared his feelings after their performance,titled “Triton – Love for the Land and People.” He emphasized the team’s desire to highlight the hard work of local rice farmers and their contributions to the region’s tourism industry. Kim also noted Triton’s active participation in local patriotic movements and their commitment to contributing to the development of the Saddle region and the nation as a whole. The Triton team approached the festival with a spirit of learning and a dedication to delivering their best performance.
I am pleased to showcase a performance titled ‘Triton -Love for the land and People’ at the 6th saddle farmers’ festival/2025. I would like to inform the local farmers who produce rice grains through the harsh weather and the conditions of soil.

Award Winners
Following a spirited competition, the TRI TON, Chau Doc, and Tan Chau teams were awarded the A Award. Anpu, Putan, and Chau Tan received the B Award, while CHO MOI, TINH BIEN, THOAI SON, Chau PHU, and Long Xuyen were honored with the C Award. Individual awards were also presented in storytelling, duet, and solo categories.
