Sanremo it’s not just music, it’s above all controversy. And this year, to throw fuel on the fire of artistic controversy, he thinks about it Alessandro Gassmann. The famous actor, usually calm, took to Instagram with a decidedly piqued outburst, born while watching the performance of Gianni Morandi with his son Thirteen Peter during the cover evening. A touching moment for many, but not for Gassmann, who saw unequal treatment in it.
The crux of the issue concerns the famous – and often contested – rule that would prohibit close relatives of competing artists from appearing on the Ariston stage. Gassmann, who this year has in the race his son Leorecalled a recent episode in which he was the protagonist in spite of himself: «So it wasn’t true that when a singer is competing in Sanremo a relative cannot participate… meaningless rule», begins the actor with sharp irony in a post on Instagram.
The reason for the anger is concrete: Gassmann would have liked to present the new Rai series “Guerrieri” on stage, starting on March 9, but he saw the door closed in his face precisely because of his family bond with Leo. «They told me I couldn’t because I was the father of a singer… oh well, come on, these f*cks, rules NOT the same for everyone», he wrote in the post, not sparing a dig at Rai and pointing the finger at the different “weight” of surnames. While Morandi was able to celebrate the family duet, Gassmann had to settle for watching from the sofa, announcing to fans his return to TV directly from March 9th.
An episode that opens an interesting debate: in Sanremo are the rules the same for everyone or are some more “equal” than others?
