Financial Recovery and Expanded Reach for Coeur de Fam

The Coeur de Fam association, dedicated to providing moral and material support to women across France, recently held its general meeting in Vire Normandie on April 7, 2025, marking a year of significant progress and renewed commitment to its mission.

Following a challenging financial period, the association has successfully turned its balance sheet around, demonstrating resilience and effective fundraising strategies. this positive shift allows Coeur de Fam to broaden its support network and enhance its community engagement.

New Leadership and Financial Overview

During the general meeting, members elected Laura Juhel as the new treasurer by a significant majority. This change in leadership comes at a pivotal time as the association celebrates its financial recovery.

After facing a deficit of €3,759 in 2023, primarily due to investments in promotional materials such as T-shirts and cups for the “pink October” breast cancer awareness campaign, Coeur de Fam rebounded impressively in 2024. the association reported a positive balance of €1,439.46, driven largely by the success of its lottery, which generated €4,024 and attracted over 500 participants. Lottery-based fundraising remains a popular and effective method for non-profits, with similar events often yielding ample contributions to charitable causes.

We welcomed two new beneficiaries this year.

Community support and Future Events

Coeur de Fam expressed its gratitude to the City of Vire and Lyliane Maincent, delegate mayor of Vire, for providing new premises. The association also acknowledged the support of the city’s associative life staff and technical services, highlighting the importance of local partnerships in achieving its goals.

Looking ahead, Coeur de Fam is preparing for its next major event on June 8, 2025, at the Vire Normandy Hippodrome. This event will feature a garage sale and various stands, open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. In collaboration with the Cœurs de IV Motards association, the event will also include biker blessings, motorcycle baptisms, and a display of vintage cars, all organized to benefit Coeur de Fam. Such collaborative events are crucial for raising awareness and funds for non-profit organizations.

The association also plans to continue its involvement with “pink October” and other initiatives aimed at supporting women throughout France.
