The gaming world gets a fresh entry with the announcement of
Fading Echo, a collaborative project between
New Tales and
Emeteria. The game, currently in growth, is
slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and xbox Series X/S.

First showcased at the Future Games Show, Fading Echo centers around a core concept:
integrating movement, combat, and puzzle-solving into a seamless experience.

A trailer offering a first look at the game is now available. Initial impressions suggest
a focus on fluid and dynamic movement mechanics.

A Journey Through Fluid Gameplay

In Fading Echo, players take on the role of One, a character capable of shifting between
human and aquatic forms. This ability is central to exploration, combat, and adapting to
the game’s ever-changing environments. From navigating tight spaces as a droplet to
delivering powerful strikes as a water bomb, movement is presented as both a tool and a
weapon.

The narrative revolves around One’s quest to save her world from unraveling. She must
restore the Ætheric flow, revitalize a broken bastion, and uncover secrets within her own
lineage. The game promises a reality that is rapidly fracturing, with the truth hidden
within One’s heritage. The developers have also included a unique element: a flying whale
known as the Last Wonder.

The gameplay is built upon systemic interactions, where water, vapor, and elemental forces
interact in unpredictable ways. Each ability unlocks new tactical options, from casting
waves to unleashing close-range attacks. Players can evolve their playstyle by unlocking
new skills,mastering the balance between offense,tactics,and exploration to approach
each encounter in a unique way.

A Living, Systemic World

The Echoverse is a fractured multiverse comprised of numerous shifting worlds, with Corel
serving as the starting point. This mysterious planet is characterized by ancient ruins,
unstable portals, and strange forces.

Throughout the Echoverse, each zone introduces new rules and challenges. Portals warp
logic, environments evolve, and no two areas behave identically. This dynamic world
encourages players to adapt, experiment, and embrace the unexpected.

The game’s comic-inspired art style emphasizes the sense of instability and wonder,
transforming each zone into a visually striking and unpredictable space.

To further enrich the world of Corel, Fading Echo will feature full English voiceover,
performed by a cast including Samantha Béart, Jasmine Bhullar, Laura Bailey, and Matt
Mercer, among others.
