F1 Mexico, Leclerc challenges Norris
Just a Lando Norris supersonic was ahead of the Ferrari in the Mexico City Qualifying. Who would have said it on the eve of a GP that promised to be difficult (and in some ways still is) for the Reds, who nevertheless started very well and from the start have an important chance to attack the British’s first position: Norris will in fact find himself defending the position against both SF-25s, with Charles Leclerc e Lewis Hamilton who will hunt him down from the first metres.
Leclerc himself, in the words immediately following the Mexican Qualifying, went on the attack knowing full well that this is one of the very few chances to compete at the top in this negative 2025.
Leclerc’s words
“There is very little grip here, the car slides a lot and putting everything together is very complicated. I think I squeezed everything out of the car, even though it probably could have been done even better. But I’m happy anyway. I will do everything I can to take the lead at the start and then try to keep it“.
“I don’t think there is a magic wand or anything that we have changed significantly that makes us go much better than 3-4 GPs ago“he added.”We have improved a bit everywhere, as Lewis also said, the procedures and small differences make a big difference in the end“.
