On February 15, 2026, the Universidad Externado de Colombia will celebrate an anniversary that honors its educational contribution. From now on, there is an atmosphere of fraternity: students, teachers, administrators and graduates join together in commemoration of an event that promises to be unforgettable.
As a prelude to this milestone, the Externado officially declares itself in celebration mode. The campus will be filled with academic, recreational and cultural activities that will evoke the plural, critical and supportive essence that characterizes our House of Studies.
The great meeting point will be a festival externadistawhere the generations that have passed through its classrooms will be able to meet again, share experiences and participate in meetings that will integrate knowledge, creativity and joy. The day will include high-impact academic activities, conversations, artistic exhibitions and wellness spaces designed for the entire community.
More than a birthday, the 140 years of the Externado represent a celebration of education, freedom and collective construction. The University thus reaffirms its commitment to the training of citizens who, through ethics, critical thinking and diversity, contribute to the development of the country.
The Externadist legacy, cultivated since 1886, is still alive in every classroom, project and initiative that seeks to transform society through knowledge. Therefore, this commemoration will also be an opportunity to look to the future, renew ties with the community and strengthen the spirit of belonging that characterizes the Externado.
That is why, from now on, we are starting a call that invites all people linked to the University to spread the word and prepare to experience this special date together. For more information you can contact ofiegresados@uexternado.edu.co
