Exeter Chiefs renew deal with Sika UK
The extension ensures Sika remains the club’s main sponsor for the 2025/26 season. As part of the agreement, the brand’s logo will continue to appear on the front of the men’s playing shirts and on the back of the women’s playing shorts.
The Hertfordshire-based company will also retain branding inventory throughout Sandy Park stadium on match days. The relationship between the two parties was established in 2024, with Sika’s branding worn as the team reached the final of the Premiership Rugby Cup.
Naomi Moran, Corporate Account Manager, Exeter Chiefs, said, “We’re really pleased to formally recognise Sika’s support this season. They consistently lean into the partnership, engaging with the club and embracing the journey with us. Their commitment means a great deal to everyone at Exeter Chiefs, and we’re proud to have them on the front of our shirt this season.”
Darren Bunting, Business Unit Manager for Distribution, Sika UK, said, “The club’s ambition and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our own values at Sika. We’re excited to build on the momentum created last season and remain firmly behind the Chiefs as they strive for success on and off the field.”

UK ice hockey bodies vote for merger
Member clubs of England Ice Hockey (EIH) and Scottish Ice Hockey (SIH) have voted in favour of a merger with Ice Hockey UK (IHUK).
Following general meetings held by both organisations, a significant majority of clubs have backed the proposal to bring the three governing bodies together. The result mandates Ice Hockey UK to initiate in-depth discussions regarding the unification of the sport’s administration.
The merger intends to modernise governance, professionalise operations, and improve support for participants across the United Kingdom.
Henry Staelens, Chief Executive Officer, Ice Hockey UK and England Ice Hockey, commented, “This evening’s vote is a defining moment for UK ice hockey, and it has been a long time coming for many. EIH and SIH members have spoken clearly about the way they wish to see the sport developed and governed throughout the UK, and this is a significant step to achieving all of the opportunities that lie in front of us.
“By coming together as one, we will modernise and professionalise how the sport is run, unlock greater support for clubs and participants, and create a structure that allows ice hockey to thrive at every level. It’s exciting that we are all on this journey together.”
Duncan Hough, Chair, England Ice Hockey, said, “My sincere thanks goes to the England Ice Hockey member clubs who attended the General Meeting and cast their vote. The sport has been built on the hard work of so many brilliant people, and it is now our opportunity to deliver greater support and opportunity. The next phase of consultation will be crucial in shaping an organisation that truly delivers for players, officials, volunteers, clubs and everyone involved in the sport.”
John Colley, Chair, Scottish Ice Hockey, concluded, “The decision made by Scottish Ice Hockey’s member clubs is very much welcomed. I thank every single member who has engaged throughout, offering constructive debate and conversation that will help shape the sport moving forward.
“The vote provides a mandate to explore how a single governing body will better support clubs, volunteers and participants in Scotland, while ensuring Scottish interests are clearly represented. The consultation phase will be vital in shaping the detail of any future structure, and Scottish Ice Hockey will remain focused on representing the views of its members at every stage.”
