“I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so exciting in my life”
It’s make or break in this nerve-wracking semi-final Holland’s Got Talent. And that can be taken quite literally with Libra. Because Bram (41) and Lieselotte (31) have put together a brand new act for the occasion. And not just any: “Now we have also opted for something that neither of us has ever worked with before,” Bram says beforehand.
Things got intense during the rehearsals. Lieselotte heard her neck crack after a fall. “So it is very exciting and we are not sure of our place,” Bram admits.
What follows is a blood-curdling performance that has the audience on the edge of their seats and the jury holding their breath. “If you throw Lieselotte and you don’t catch her, she will be on the ground,” Bram said beforehand… Fortunately, she is always caught in the nick of time during the act itself.
Afterwards, a deafening applause breaks out, followed by a standing ovation. Jury member Soundos El Ahmadi doesn’t know where to look. “This was so exciting. From start to finish. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so exciting in my life.”
Dan Karaty is also impressed. “It doesn’t matter that things went wrong during rehearsals. You got it right when it counted – and that’s now.” Chantal Janzen adds: “It was terrible for us when we heard this afternoon that things have not gone well for you yet.” The jury member therefore has ‘only admiration’ for the duo.
Marc-Marie Huijbregts does not hide his surprise either. “It’s like you’ve googled the most impossible tricks. It’s breathtaking to watch you.”
Holland’s Got Talent can be seen every Friday evening at 8:30 PM on RTL 4 or watch ahead on Videoland.
