A 43-year-old man was arrested in Commerce City after allegedly holding his ex-girlfriend captive adn assaulting her for several days. The incident led too a police pursuit that ended wiht the suspect’s capture.
According to the Commerce City Police Department, Jason Pacheco faces multiple charges, including aggravated felony menacing with a weapon, false imprisonment, and vehicular eluding. He was booked into the Adams county Jail.
Officers initially responded to a report of a protection order violation on East 108th Avenue. Upon arrival, they learned the victim had been held against her will.
Police located the suspect in a vehicle near the residence where the alleged assault occurred. He fled, leading officers on a pursuit that ended on Interstate 25 after his vehicle was disabled.
After the vehicle stop, Pacheco fled on foot but was apprehended by an Adams County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit.
