- Eva Habermann talks about an unpleasant experience on the film set.
- In the 1990s, a director asked her to sexually “please” a leading actor.
- After that, she had to endure bullying on set.
- She emphasizes that the treatment of women has improved greatly since then.
Actress Eva Habermann took off her clothes for “Playboy” shortly after her 50th birthday and her photos were on everyone’s lips. Now the German is shocking with a disturbing experience from her career and is making serious allegations of sexual harassment on a film set.
In an interview with “Bild”, she looks back on the situation from the 1990s, which she still cannot forget today. “A director came up to me while we were filming and said I should sexually please the main actor because he couldn’t act anymore.” She replied quickly: “He can’t do that anyway.”
“Treating women has changed”
She had to let the director bully her for the rest of the filming. Habermann does not want to reveal which filmmaker it is. «It doesn’t matter who the director was. I could give a number of similar examples.” This action shows how difficult it was to deal with male power structures in the industry at the time.
Have you ever experienced a situation at work where you felt uncomfortable because someone was using their power?
“Fortunately, the way women are treated has changed significantly since the 90s,” explains the actress. Her self-confident mother helped her as a young actress to deal with such situations. Her mother, Eva Habermann, taught her early on that “no one has control over our bodies or our decisions.” In addition, with more life experience and self-confidence, she can react completely differently today. “Nothing like that happens to me anymore. I’m 50 and think it’s a great age.”
