The truck simulations “Euro Truck Simulator 2” and “American Truck Simulator” conquer the current consoles years after the PC launch. But how big is the new audience’s interest?
For the first time in the history of the series, developer SCS software brings the in-house truck simulations on consoles. The release of „Euro Truck Simulator 2“ and „American Truck Simulator“ A few weeks ago, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S were announced. In the meantime, it turns out that interest in the games is also enormous on the new platforms.
Wishlist numbers in PS Store and Xbox Store
Since the announcement on the Gamescom 2025 are “Euro Truck Simulator 2” and “American Truck Simulator” in PlayStation-Store and listed in the Xbox Store. Players can put the simulations on their wish list, which was actually implemented by hundreds of thousands.

The game combines driving simulation with an economic system. Players can build their own transport company, acquire trucks and garages and hire drivers. Regularly published extensions increase the game world by further states.
Euro Truck Simulator 2: Roads across Europe
The “Euro Truck Simulator 2” covers a wide road network across Europe. Accessible regions range from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. In addition to the route planning, drivers must observe speed limits, insert fuel stops and comply with statutory steering times.
Here too, building a forwarding company is a central element. With successful orders, your own fleet can be expanded and the network can expand across Europe. The title has continued to grow continuously for years through official extensions and an active community.
