Eric Bischoff says Nick Hogan is handling the complexities of his father, Hulk Hogan’s, estate and trademark business well following the wrestling legend’s death. Speaking on 83 Weeks, Bischoff revealed he had lunch with Nick Hogan approximately six weeks ago in Tampa, describing it as his first opportunity to speak with him privately outside a larger group setting. Bischoff said the conversation gave him a clearer picture of how Nick has developed since his father’s passing.
“Nick is doing great,” Bischoff said. “I am so proud of Nick. He has really got a head on his shoulders. He is much more mature in ways that I had not really seen before.”
Bischoff said Nick is now managing significant business responsibilities that have fallen to him following his father’s passing, many of which involve unresolved deals and ongoing licensing matters. “He is dealing with complicated issues and licensing and deals that were halfway executed, and there is just a lot of stress that comes along with the Hulk Hogan trademark business, and that is all falling on Nick’s lap,” Bischoff said.
Bischoff acknowledged that Nick entered this role without formal business training in this area, but said proximity to his father throughout his career gave him a foundation to draw from. “Nick did not have formal experience in this, but he was around it a lot and learned kind of vicariously through Hulk just because of proximity,” Bischoff said. “Now he is in a situation where he is dealing with issues and levels of complexity that he has not dealt with before, but he is handling it really, really well.”
Bischoff said he has not spoken with Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke recently but expressed a desire to reconnect. “I would love to just sit down with Brooke at some point and have that opportunity, but I have not,” Bischoff said. He added that the last time he saw Hulk’s ex-wife Linda was at Nick’s wedding a couple of years ago, where he said she appeared to be in good spirits and enjoying herself.
Bischoff and Hulk Hogan share a long history dating back to their years together in WWE, where Bischoff served as Executive Vice President, and Hogan was the promotion’s top star during the Monday Night Wars era. Bischoff has spoken extensively about their relationship across multiple episodes of 83 Weeks, describing Hogan as both a close friend.
