E. Adams, who was elected as the mayor of the largest city in the US in 2022, as a Democrat, became a broken figure due to his legal problems and cooperation with Trump.
In April, he said he would participate in the election as an independent candidate, avoiding the Democratic primary elections won by Zohran Mamdani, a socialist who called the Socialist (Zohran Mamdani).
In his statement, Adams indirectly criticized Z. Mamdani, who targeted the high cost of living and promised regulated rental prices, free public buses and kindergartens.
“Big changes are welcome and necessary, but beware of those who say the answer is the destruction of the system itself that we have created together for a few generations. This is not change, it is chaos,” Adams said.

Earlier this year, the Department of Justice ordered federal prosecutors to abolish the allegations against Adams in New York.
This step provoked a wave of resignations at the Manhattan Federal Prosecutor’s Office and the Department of Justice in Washington.
Emil Bove, a senior official of the Department of Justice, who ordered the annulment of the allegations, denies that the decision was a “service for the service” for Democratic Mayor’s support for Mr Trump’s strict anti -immigration measures.
