On the night of October 16, 2025 my husband was taken by ambulance to Senigallia Emergency Room to be visited. After the triage process, he was taken care of by the doctor on duty, who immediately showed behavior that left me perplexed, calling him by a different surname and mistaking me several times for his daughter – explains the woman, who turned to the lawyer Corrado Canafoglia -. During the continuation of the clinical examination the doctor fell asleepeffectively interrupting the visit. Given the seriousness of this circumstance, certified in the emergency medical report, I asked for the intervention of another doctor, who was taking care of my husband”.
While waiting, the woman received less than reassuring information: “I learned that the doctor had already been interested in the past investigations and disciplinary proceedings in various Italian hospital facilities, proceedings to be honest from which he was always exonerated, continuing to practice the medical profession”. The doctor was recruited by a cooperative: “In the morning I met the doctor in the corridor of the emergency room and he asked me how “my father” was, without apologizing for what happened and for the fact that my husband was no longer in the doctor’s office where he visited – he continues -. I believe it is my duty to make what happened public, because such incidents must not occur in any emergency room, and this of mine open letter is aimed at protecting the Senigallia hospital and the emergency room where good professionals work”.
