The Carinthian cultural summer is already casting its first shadows. On Thursday, the Ensemble Porcia presented its program for this year’s summer season. The motto of 2026 is: “How real is reality?”

2025 was the busiest year the Ensemble Porcia has experienced since 1961. It was a brilliant first year for the new director Florian Eisner. And this year it’s about “reality”. What is real, what is fake, what is fact, what is fake, these questions now dominate our everyday lives, says director Florian Eisner: “We are of course concerned about whether the theater is not exactly the place where you can at least assume 100 percent that it is live and therefore really happening, the events that we perceive, whereas in the meantime we really have to question everything in our perception of reality.”
