Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says she is not bothered by opinion polls after both the opposition and she, as leader, achieved record low polling overnight.
“I’m not interested in polling, and I’m not interested in public commentary about polling. What I’m interested in is this plan, this plan that delivers affordable energy for households and puts priority on delivering that affordable energy,” Ley told a press conference in Emu Plains, NSW, this morning.
Polling from the Australian Financial Review/Redbridge showed the Coalition’s primary vote fell 5 per centage points in a month, hitting a record low primary vote of 24 per cent.

One Nation’s vote grew by 4 points to a record high of 18 per cent. Ley’s personal support as preferred prime minister crashed to 10 per cent, compared to Anthony Albanese’s 40 per cent.
The latest Newspoll from The Australian also found the Coalition’s primary sitting at 24 per cent.
Ley deflected the question onto energy policy, saying: “We have an energy policy train wreck from this government, and I know that the communities of which you speak broadly will also be feeling the pain that I’ve talked about.”
