Honoring Labor and Prioritizing Workplace Safety in Thai Binh
thai Binh province recently launched its annual workers’ Month and Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health, emphasizing the critical role of workers and the importance of safe working conditions. This year’s initiatives aim to further solidify the rights and interests of union members and employees, while also promoting a culture of safety compliance across all sectors.

“Vietnamese Workers: Pioneers of a New Era”
Under the theme Vietnamese workers’ Pioneers Enter a new Era,
Workers’ Month 2025 is designed to celebrate the contributions of the workforce and encourage innovation. The action Month for Occupational Safety and Hygiene focuses on Assessment and Recognition of Dangers and Risks,
highlighting the need for proactive hazard identification and mitigation. These themes are particularly relevant as Vietnam continues to experience rapid industrial growth, with the manufacturing sector contributing significantly to the national GDP. According to recent data from the General Statistics office of Vietnam,workplace accidents cost the economy billions of VND annually,underscoring the urgency of these safety initiatives.

Key Activities and Programs
The Provincial Federation of Labor has outlined a complete plan featuring seven core activity groups, implemented at the union level. These include:
- “Creative Workers Who Confidently Enter the New era”: A program designed to foster innovation and recognize outstanding contributions from workers.
- “May Dialog”: A platform for open communication and exchange between workers and management.
- Forum “Party with Workers – Workers with Party”: Strengthening the relationship between the Communist Party and the working class.
- Program “Thanks, worker”: Expressing gratitude and appreciation for the dedication of workers.
Along with these programs, the Federation is also providing support to workers facing hardship, including visits and gifts for those affected by workplace accidents and occupational diseases. This holistic approach aims to address both the professional and personal well-being of the workforce.
Recognizing Excellence and Providing Support
The opening ceremony served as an opportunity to honor exemplary individuals. twenty-five workers were recognized as outstanding party members, while twenty were lauded for their adherence to Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style. Moreover, fifty employees were celebrated for their exceptional performance.

In a critically important gesture of support, the Workers’ Association of the Province allocated funds for the construction of 47 “union accommodations,” totaling 2.35 billion VND. these homes will provide much-needed housing for union members in challenging circumstances, particularly those belonging to government unions, economic and industrial zones, and district/city worker associations. This initiative directly addresses the housing needs of workers, a critical factor in their overall well-being and productivity.
