This year, given the number of participants in the department in the Little Reading Champions competition, two semi-finals were necessary. The first took place on February 11 in Saint-Marcel-sur-Aude in which two students from the Condorcet school participated, Bastien Solier from CM2 and Émie Boffelli CM2. The members of the jury selected them both for the departmental final. The second semi-final took place in Sainte-Valière. It was Wednesday March 25 that the lucky winners met for the departmental final in Marcorignan. So 8 CM1 and CM2 students from across the department met in front of the departmental jury to read aloud and for 3 minutes the extract from the book they chose. The finalists were evaluated based on criteria set by the Ministry of National Education. After deliberation, Émie Boffelli from the Condorcet school is declared the winner and will represent the Aude department during the regional final which will take place in Toulouse on Wednesday April 15. A new jury will then elect the regional winner who will participate in the grand final which will take place in Paris. We wish Émie good luck in this incredible adventure.
