When it comes to quality assurance, Zollner relies entirely on ZEISS technology and was one of the pilot customers for the ZEISS O-INSPECT duo measuring system.
Complex components and strict standards
Zollner is active in a total of seven industries, including the automotive and medical technology sectors. The company must adhere to strict laws and standards to ensure high product reliability and a high level of safety. In addition, the company faces particular challenges in product testing due to its broad product portfolio. “We have both very small components in the micrometer range and complex systems in our portfolio that require the testing of shape and position tolerances,” explains Michael Zeller, senior manager at Zollner and responsible for test equipment monitoring and measurement technology. Zollner uses different technologies for different components to meet these requirements: the coordinate measuring machine for solid workpieces, ZEISS O-DETECT for parts that can deform under tensile force, and ZEISS microscopes for in-depth material analysis to detect small defects or inclusions.
