President Gustavo Petro used his social networks to refer to the arrival of Tesla in the country. The electric car brand inaugurated its sales in Colombia this week.
The opening of a Tesla sales office caused long lines of potential buyers in the north of Bogotá. The images were spread on social networks, where many people applauded the interest.

The president took advantage of the moment to publish a tweet in X, where he referred to electric cars. He even admitted that he would “buy” one if he knew how to drive.
“These are the lines in Bogotá to buy an electric car. “If I knew how to drive a car, I would buy an electric one.”indicated the president.
Petro also pointed out that people who do not have the possibility of purchasing an electric model can opt for mass public transportation.
“For those of us who cannot buy, I recommend pushing for electric and rail public mass transportation,” he concluded.

Tesla arrived in Colombia with two physical sales headquarters located in the Centro Comercial Andino in Bogotá and El Tesoro, in Medellín. Besides, Buyers can order their cars from the website.
