“Although the same formula remains for the integration of the chambers of 300 (relative majority) and 200 (multi-member), a different formula than the 200 is proposed: the 100 best results after the winner, that is, the best losers. And the other 100 are a kind of list that will be voted on in the constituencies,” he explained.

With this modification, the dispute over the intention to eliminate 100 proportional representation seats was resolved; However, the project also maintains the budget cut from 25% to political parties.
Monreal Avila explained that although the reduction of resources has not generated coincidences with the allies, it is a proposal that the Presidency (Sheinbaum) decided not to modify: “I want to tell you one thing: the President said: ‘I will be consistent and even if you do not accompany her, I will present her.’”
The Guinda leader assured that the President “is making an institutional effort to reach an agreement with all the allied parliamentary groups”, although he did not rule out the possibility that this would not be enough for the PT and the PVEM to support the proposal.

In this regard, the coordinator of the PVEM in the Chamber of Deputies, Carlos Puentesaid that it will not be until today when his party issues an official position.
He acknowledged that the topics included are “sensitive” for the PVEM, that they could “drastically” change the life of said political institute, and he did not rule out the possibility that they would not support the project.
“They are sensitive issues for our party. That is why they have to be valued within the political institute, because truly for us there are things that could drastically change the life of our political institute (…) it is normal to be able to agree and there will always be things on which we agree and there will perhaps be some on which we do not, but that is neither rupture nor indiscipline and much less betrayal,” he stated.

“Is there still room to negotiate, then?” Monreal Ávila was asked.
“No, the proposal will be presented tomorrow [hoy] and the proposal contemplates the 10 or 12 points that the Presidential Commission for Electoral Reform has concluded. The President will present it as her own this Wednesday and the initiative will be formally drafted towards the end of the week and will be ready to be presented towards Monday. There are agreements, but there are also still some indefinitions (…) in some things they do and in others there are indefinitions, but they will still give a period of four days for the final definition of them, but Morena is going to support the president’s proposal,” he explained.
