After a great opening of the season, Cracovia was out of breath. In the last six league matches, it won only one victory and dropped to sixth position in the table. The fans probably hoped that the team would finally break through after the national team break. However, this did not happen.

On Saturday, Luka Elsner’s players played Motor Lublin, only 15th in the table, at their own stadium. In theory, they were the clear favorites. However, they couldn’t confirm it on the pitch for a long time. Not much happened at Kałuża in the entire first half. Cracovia was unable to fire even one shot on target. Motor responded with two, and the biggest threat was created by Bartosz Wolski, who shot from a distance. However, it was stopped by Sebastian Madejski and after the first 45 minutes the score was 0-0.
We had much greater emotions in the second part. This one started with a bang. Less than three minutes after the restart, Ivo Rodrigues started a solo rally and tried to shoot from a good twenty-odd meters. The decision paid off because the ball bounced off Brahim Traore and completely confused Madejski. In this way, the guests took the lead.

Cracovia had to look for equalization, so they made changes. The game square was visited by, among others: Bosko Sutalo, Mateusz Praszelik and Martin Minczew immediately brought some liveliness. Praszelik’s entry brought the most benefits. In the 67th minute, the midfielder scored a spectacular goal. After Hasić’s cross, the defenders of Motor managed to clear the ball into the penalty area. But then Praszelik caught up with her and immediately hit a powerful volley. After a while, the ball fluttered in the net and the score was 1-1.
The 25-year-old tried to follow the attack and a little later he fired another dangerous shot from a distance, but this time without success. At the very end, the players from Lublin came to the fore once again. Seven minutes before the end, after a short restart from a throw-in, Bradly van Hoever sent a cross into the penalty area. The ball went straight to Karol Czubak‘s head, and he made no mistake. He confidently shot it into the net and made the score 2-1 for Motor. For Czubak, it was the eighth goal of the season.
A 2:1 victory means that Motor will advance by as many as five positions. At the moment, he is in 10th place in the Ekstraklasa table with 19 points. In turn, Cracovia remained sixth with 22 points. Górnik Zabrze is still the leader, followed by Jagiellonia and Wisła Płock.
