Education & Knowledge Transmission | Rivesaltes Club3

by Archynetys Economy Desk

Proposed by four final year students from the Rivesaltes agricultural high school, the Rivesaltes club3 always opened its doors to CM2 students from the Pons school for a seniors/schoolchildren meeting. The theme of the intergenerational exchange was to talk about school before and today, but also to do game activities together. Still within the framework of the meeting/exchanges, and so that each child could compare the life of yesterday to that of today, the “former young people” spoke about their profession and brought objects belonging to the past. A screening from the film The Schoolmaster produced by Claude Berri with Coluche, as well as that drawn from archives gave an image of how today’s school is very different from that of the past (infrastructure, teaching methods and the student/teacher relationship).

On the reasons for these exchanges, Lana, who is a final year student at Claude-Simon high school, explains: “We have already had three half-day meetings at the club which, for us, fall within the framework of the personal service baccalaureate – Territorial Animation”. The aim of this operation is to present an intergenerational file during the baccalaureate exams. It was for the organizers and participants “an important moment of exchange and sharing between people of different ages which promotes the transmission of knowledge, solidarity and social bonds”.
