Education & Banco Santa Cruz: Tech Investment Plans

With a total investment of $ 35.5 million, the Banco Santa Cruz Foundation, together with the National Institute of Technological Education (INET) and the Provincial Government, has completed the delivery of high -tech equipment to professional technical education institutions (ETP) in the province.

The presentation, framed in the INET Fiscal Credit Program (Law No. 26.058), had Sandra Ortiz, director of Professional Technical Education (DETP), and Diego Pagliari, executive secretary of the Banco Santa Cruz Foundation.

Sandra Ortiz explained that the delivery is specified through the fiscal credit line, administered by the INET in conjunction with the DETP, and with the sponsorship of Banco Santa Cruz, through its foundation. “We are celebrating the delivery of the equipment that was made through this line. We receive equipment for El Calafate schools with an automation and equipment for 3D design destined for the Mobile classrooms of Río Gallegos,” he said.

The official highlighted the joint process: “The Provincial Directorate accompanies in the formulation of the project so that the INET can authorize what the equipment that has a pedagogical objective is. Then, the Banco Santa Cruz Foundation enters into functions with the accompaniment to the suppliers and also in obtaining the sponsorship.”

Role of the Banco Santa Cruz Foundation

For his part, Diego Pagliari expressed the satisfaction of the Foundation to be able to specify these programs. “For us it is really gratifying to be able to carry this type of programs and financing in the sponsorship of educational programs. This time, with a contribution of more than $ 35 million in two schools, destined to generate and enhance not only the training of students, but also generate employment and that productive bond between the private and the public,” he said.

The Executive Secretary highlighted the importance of sponsorship: “I think we are one of the only companies that have long been sponsoring this type of programs. Everything that is generated, with a percentage depending on what determines the law of the salary mass, is intended for this type of sponsorship, so highly happy to be able to do so.”

Called to Business Participation

The spokesmen confirmed that the two projects approved by the INET in 2025 have already finished their annual cycle with the arrival of the equipment to the establishments, which constitutes a “closing of the year in the best way.”

Investment details and delivered equipment

The financing, which articulates the education sector with the productive, was allocated to two key projects:

Industrial School No. 9 – El Calafate ($ 19.3 million):

Project: Automation laboratory.

Equipment: PLC Siemens S7-1200, HMI, frequency drive and automation didactic board.

Impact: It benefits 443 students and 105 teachers.

Professional Training and Update Educational Center No. 11 – Río Gallegos ($ 16.3 million):

Project: 3D laboratory for educational innovation.

Equipment: 6 3D printers and 8 notebooks.

Training actions: Design, modeling and 3D printing courses with educational applications.

Impact: It benefits 72 students and 17 teachers.

The relevance of joint work

The CPE official remarked that this financing line is in force every year, inviting more companies to join. “The importance of fiscal credit is that it gives companies a bonus that can later be applied to national or provincial taxes and thus also contribute to the good of the community,” Ortiz explained.

Pagliari, on the other hand, ended with a call to action: “The significant the program is that companies are added. It is essential that this tax credit can return with training and equipment programs to schools. We are available from the bank and from the foundation to advise them throughout this process that we have been doing several years ago.”
