UMEM Potpourri ECG Cases with Dr. Amal Mattu

HPI

A 73-year-old man presents to the emergency department with nausea and vomiting. The following ECG was obtained on arrival and interpreted by the computer as “sinus tachycardia”, but something important was missed.

Before watching this week’s workout, review the arrival ECG carefully and consider:

    1. Can a Mobitz I rhythm hide completely inside T waves?
    2. How do you confirm a dropped P wave when the rhythm looks regular?
    3. Does a Mobitz I pattern on top of a bifascicular block change management?
