Hong Kong singer Eason Chan has announced the postponement of his upcoming three concerts at the Kaohsiung Dome, scheduled for may 16-18. the declaration, made on May 15, cited a positive COVID-19 (CCP virus) diagnosis as the reason for the sudden change.
According to the official statement from the “Eason Chan Fear and Dreams Tour,” Chan experienced sudden discomfort on the evening of May 14. A subsequent medical examination confirmed the COVID-19 infection, necessitating immediate cessation of all performance activities for recuperation.
Apology and Rescheduling Details
Chan expressed deep regret over the postponement,apologizing to fans for the disruption to their plans.The concert team has been working to reschedule the affected dates. The new dates are as follows:
- May 16, 2025 (Friday) 19:30 – Rescheduled to May 29, 2025 (Friday) 19:30
- May 17, 2025 (Saturday) 19:30 – Rescheduled to May 30, 2025 (Friday) 19:30
- May 18, 2025 (Sunday) 18:30 – Rescheduled to May 31, 2025 (Saturday) 18:30
Ticketholders are advised that original tickets will be honored at the rescheduled performances. Those seeking refunds can process them through the Tuoyuan Ticket Sales System, where full refunds will be provided.
Singer’s Statement and Commitment to Recovery
In a social media post, Eason Chan conveyed his sincere apologies, stating, I am very sorry…I have been waiting for the Kaohsiung Dome for 12 years, but I didn’t expect it to be disrupted by the virus overnight. It caused the audience’s disappointment and the team’s trouble. I would like to express my sincere apology here.
He further assured fans of his commitment to following medical advice and returning to Kaohsiung as soon as possible.
