The NFL‘s Week 16 Saturday doubleheader kicks off with a game with title implications, as the Philadelphia Eagles look to clinch the NFC East against division rivals, the Washington Commanders.
This is the first of two meetings in 16 days, as the teams meet again to close the season, and Philadelphia comes in breathing a sigh of relief after a much better effort in its 31-0 victory over the Raiders that snapped a three-game losing streak. The Commanders broke an eight-game losing streak with a win against the Giants.
Philadelphia is expected to defend its division title, as it is a six-point road favorite to get that done.

The Arizona Republic: Eagles 27, Commanders 20
Jeremy Cluff writes: “The Eagles enter this game with a 9-5 record, while the Commanders are 4-10, but you can throw records out in this NFC East rivalry. What you can’t throw out is that Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia’s offense appears to be getting back in sync.”
Bookies.com: Bet the Eagles to cover vs Commanders
Bill Speros writes: “The Commanders scored a too-little-too-late 29-21 win over the fellow-also-ran Giants Sunday. Expect Philly fans to make the relatively short trip to Landover for this home-away-from-home game. The Eagles scored a decisive get-right 31-0 win over the Raiders at home Sunday. Philly gets another playoff tune-up this week. These teams meet again in 2 weeks. By then, the Eagles will have wrapped up the NFC North and may well be locked into their playoff position. This week, Philly uses the full 60 minutes to continue building toward what it hopes is a deep playoff run. And they grab an easy cover in the process. Enjoy the Tulane-Ole Miss Game instead.”NFL power rankings Week 16: Rams, Seahawks, Broncos make No. 1 case
Sports Betting Dime: Eagles 25.4, Commanders 15.7
The site’s formula predicts that the Eagles will win the NFL Week 16 game against the Commanders.
ESPN: Eagles have a 63.3% chance to beat Commanders on Saturday
The site gives the Commanders a 36.4% shot at winning the NFL Week 16 game, with the remaining percentage accounting for a tie.
Dimers: Eagles 25, Commanders 21
It writes: “After extensive simulations, our model gives the Eagles a win probability of 65%, while the Commanders have a win probability of 35%.”
Sportsnaut: Philadelphia Eagles 31, Washington Commanders 10
Matt Johnson writes: “We’ll stop well short of saying the Philadelphia Eagles offense is back on track, even coming off a 31-point win over Las Vegas. What Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and A.J. Brown can do is take advantage of a defense that has allowed 30.4 points and 399.6 total yards per game with a 6.5 yards-per-play average in the last nine games. The Washington Commanders won’t get shutout, but this is another matchup that the Eagles win by three scores.”
