A Ukrainian model who claimed to have been ‘tortured’ by ‘rich Russian kids’ at a Dubai porta-potty party says she is learning to live again, after being scalped in a horrific assault
A Ukrainian OnlyFans model brutally attacked and left for dead after attending a party in Dubai 10 months ago is walking again.
Maria Kovalchuk, 21, had her hair “shorn with a knife” and was scalped befoe she suffered a broken spine and leg following a terrifying assault. There were unproven fears she had been a victim of a so-called “Porta Potty party”, where affluent hosts lure young models and influencers with promises of cash, designer presents and stays in plush hotels.
Now Maria has undergone rehabilitation as a war refugee at a hideaway in Trondheim, Norway and has proudly shown how she is walking again after months in a wheelchair. She is “rising from the ashes, learning to live and believe again” but claims she and her family were threatened after they spoke out.

She needed 10 major operations after being discovered by a roadside in a coma in March one week after going missing. “At first, I felt literally shattered, like a broken doll, and I could not imagine my future life at all,” Maria told her 42,000 followers.
“I kept wondering how I would live with these injuries, with this scar, disfigured…how I would somehow go on with my life.” She added that she did not know how she would find love and went on: “But over time, my perception of the world began to change.
“I started paying more attention to my inner self and realised that what matters most is your inner state — what you learn and what you feel. Of course, there were difficulties with this, too. But I managed thanks to the support of my loved ones and my friends. And I felt the healing power of love.”
Now she is teaching make-up and learning to live again. Maria has claimed she was tortured by wealthy Russians at a three-day party in Dubai, not by “sheikhs” during a Porta Potty party, as had been alleged earlier. Yet mystery remains over exactly what happened to her.
The Russians have denied they abused her, and no-one has been brought to justice for her horrific injuries which a surgeon insisted could not have been caused by a construction site fall by accident or due to self-harm. Maria has almost no memory of her “torture”.
She had “three operations on one leg, three on the other, two on her spine, and one on her shoulder blade”, said her mother Anna, alleging her daughter had undergone brutal beatings. A knife cut her face and scalped her, she said.
“It was done with a knife from the centre of the head all the way down to the eye, and the hair was cut off.” The family revealed that her medical bills for numerous operations were fully covered via Dubai police, amid suggestions that a cover-up was involved.
Anna has also claimed that she has been threatened online for speaking out about the case. After the daughter and mother went public, Anna said she “got a disappearing message on my phone. “It read: ‘We’ll find you even in Norway’.”
The mother insisted: “When young men have money and no boundaries, they found themselves a ‘pet’, someone they could torment. Just to trigger her, watch her suffer, see her fear — almost as entertainment. And then at some point, it crossed a line. That’s the turning point — they went too far.”
Porta Potty events involve women, often aspiring models or influencers, being lured to hotel rooms, villas or yachts, they are reportedly forced to perform degrading and violent sexual acts involving bodily fluids for large sums of money.
