On Thursday evening, a 40-year-old man was hit by a tram in Graz and injured. The man was drunk and driving a tuk-tuk. He had to be taken to hospital.

The accident occurred in the evening hours in the Lend district of Graz: According to the police’s initial investigation results, the tram on line 4 was traveling along Annenstrasse into the city – at Quergasse there was a collision with a so-called tuk-tuk, a three-wheeled electric vehicle.

According to their own statements, they overlooked the tram

The 40-year-old driver said he overlooked the approaching tram. The man was drunk and was then taken by rescue to UKH Graz with injuries of an undetermined degree, according to the Styrian State Police Directorate. He has to expect a report. The passengers and the tram driver remained uninjured.
