Conceived in may of last year, the “drone wall” project aimed to establish a technologically advanced surveillance system along the borders of the Baltic states, Finland, Norway, and poland.This initiative was designed to counter illegal migration, combat smuggling operations, and mitigate potential military threats. The core idea involved deploying advanced technologies to detect, identify, and neutralize drones before they could penetrate national borders, creating a unified and coordinated border defense system.

The proposed drone wall would span approximately 2,500 kilometers, covering a important portion of Europe’s external border with Russia. Funding Roadblock: EU Commission Rejects Initial Proposal
