Dresden Bomb: WWII Evacuation – Wednesday Update

In Dresden, a large part of the city center will be evacuated tomorrow morning after a World War II bomb was found.

According to the city, around 18,000 people have to leave their homes. The evacuation area also includes the Semperoper and the Frauenkirche in the old town. The bomb was discovered during construction work on the Carola Bridge, which collapsed around a year and a half ago.

Last August, around 17,000 people left their homes after a bomb was found in Dresden.
