Colorful things from science, science policy

The German Society for Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders (DPG) eV is once again calling on talented researchers to submit their work in the field of neurodegenerative diseases for the science prize and the promotion of young talent. The scientific-medical society promotes innovative research approaches with the aim of improving the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. The deadline for entries is February 15, 2026

We are looking for research that provides new insights into the causes, diagnosis or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and other movement disorders. The submissions should impress with their scientific excellence, interdisciplinarity and high relevance to medical progress.

As part of the program, the DPG awards up to four science prizes for outstanding completed scientific work. These are each endowed with 2,500 euros and honor scientific successes that have already been achieved. In addition, two young talent grants of 100,000 euros each will be awarded to support ongoing projects by young scientists up to the age of 40.

The prizes are financed entirely from DPG funds. With the program, the specialist society would like to contribute to creating excellent research conditions and sustainably strengthening young scientists.

Further information on conditions of participation and application modalities is available on the DPG website at.
