The Dominican Association of Poulticulture (ADA) assumed the presidency of the Federation of Poultry Federation of Central America and the Caribbean (Fedavicac) during the celebration of the XXVII Central American and Caribbean Congress of Poulticulture 2025, which takes place in the Panama Convention Center, with the participation of 2,086 delegates from more than 28 countries.
The information was offered by Pavel Concepción, president of the ADA, who headed the Dominican delegation with Miguel Lajara, Gregory Marte, Jochy Polanco, Wilfredo Cabrera, Juan Lucas Alba, Sergio Jiménez, Binelly López, Félix Henríquez, Federico Cabrera and Welvin Polanco.
Concepción stressed that this achievement constitutes recognition of the dynamism of Dominican poultry farming and announced that, thanks to the designation of Fedavicac, the Dominican Republic will host the Central American and Caribbean Congress in 2027.
The choice of the ADA was unanimously produced, within the framework of the rotary mechanism of the Federation. In this same meeting, the National Association of Poultry Tras in Panama (Anavip) was also appointed to assume the vice presidency.
The XXVII Congress brings together international experts, leading companies, producers and authorities to discuss innovation, sustainability and the challenges of the sector in the region.
The program includes more than 40 master conferences and expert panels, addressing high relevance issues such as epidemiology and control of emerging aviars, the application of artificial intelligence and data analysis in production, nutrition and sustainability with approaches in the reduction of carbon footprint, as well as animal welfare and biosegurity as pillars of modern poultry.
In addition, Congress has a commercial exhibition fair and specialized workshops, consolidating Panama as a hub of innovation and knowledge for the regional poultry industry.
