Dolly Parton Announces Las Vegas Residency After Three Decades

Country music icon Dolly Parton is set to return to the Las vegas stage for a limited residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The 79-year-old singer will perform six shows in December, marking her first extended engagement in the city since 1993.
“I’m really happy. I haven’t worked in Las Vegas for years and always loved singing there,” parton saeid in a statement to her fans. The residency,titled ‘Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,’ was announced on Monday,June 23.
Parton’s performances are scheduled for December 4th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 12th, and 13th, coinciding with the National Finals Rodeo. Her previous Las Vegas appearances include shows at the Riviera Hotel in the early 1980s and four concerts at the Mirage Hotel in 1993. Both the Riviera and Mirage venues have since closed.
The announcement was made via press release and on Dolly’s Instagram account, where she wrote: “Grab your rhinestones, Vegas calls!”
Attendees can anticipate a setlist featuring Parton’s signature hits, including ‘9 to 5‘, ‘Jolene’, ‘I will Always Love You’, and ‘Coat of many colors’. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 25th.
