Dodge County Seeks Volunteers for Senior Meals Program

The Dodge County Nutrition Program is looking for volunteers to assist with meal readiness and delivery for seniors and people with disabilities.

The agency responsible for supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities in Dodge County is actively recruiting volunteers for its meals program. Those with availability during midday hours can contribute by assisting in the kitchen at various dining locations. Alternatively, individuals who enjoy driving can volunteer to deliver meals to homes.

“Whether you’re a retired person looking to work one day a week for a few hours, or maybe a stay-at-home mom that wants to get out of the house around the lunch hour and deliver meals,” Dodge County Nutrition Program Coordinator Rachael Ottery told WBEV’s Community Comment. “we’re really good at working with people if they’re only available one day a week or five, we will work with you.”

Volunteer drivers will receive reimbursement for mileage. Additional details can be found at dodge.wi.gov.
