Timothé Mumenthaler delivered a stellar performance at the Diamond League meet in Oslo, securing second place in the 200m sprint. The European champion clocked a personal best of 20.27 seconds at Bislett Stadium, narrowly missing out on first place to Reynier Mena, who finished with a time of 20.20 seconds.

Mumenthaler’s impressive run placed him ahead of Canadian sprinter Andre de Grasse,who finished third.The last Swiss athlete to compete in this distance at a Diamond League event was Silvan Wicki in Stockholm.

Ehammer Takes Third in Triathlon Event

Simon Ehammer finished third in a special “triathlon” event. Despite a strong start in the long jump and a leading time of 13.74 seconds in the hurdle sprint, ehammer couldn’t maintain his momentum.

A 53.17m throw in the javelin resulted in Ehammer finishing third overall. Markus Rooth, the Norwegian decathlon Olympic champion, secured first place. Andrin Huber, the other Swiss competitor, finished sixth.

“With 32.67 seconds, the 29-year-old set up another world record and remained under 33 seconds over this distance for the first time.”

Warholm Sets New 300m Hurdle World Record

Karsten Warholm dominated the 300m hurdles, setting a new world record of 32.67 seconds. The Norwegian athlete’s performance thrilled the home crowd as he became the first person to run the distance in under 33 seconds.

Warholm’s time beat his previous record of 33.05 seconds, set earlier this year at the Diamond League meeting in Xiamen (CHN). Even though officially recognized, the 300m hurdles is not an Olympic event.
