On the evening before Thanksgiving, which included a glut of games (15), Nico Hischier and Timo Meier shone again in the New Jersey Devils‘ 3-2 overtime victory over Pius Suter‘s St. Louis Blues. Author of a goal and two assists in the first, and a goal and a decisive pass in the second, the two Red Cross players scored for the third consecutive match, allowing the Devils to jump to the top of the Metropolitan Division. Roman Josi was also able to smile, as he helped his Nashville Predators beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-3 with his first goal since his return to the ice.
It was a dark evening for the other Swiss on the track: if Janis Moser (Tampa Bay Lightining) and Lian Bichsel (Dallas Stars) celebrated their successes against Calgary Flames and Seattle Kraken, Akira Schmid (Vegas Golden Knights), Philipp Kurashev (San Jose Sharks) and Nino Niederreiter (Winnipeg Jets) came out defeated from their respective matches.
