Cornerback Divaad Wilson’s time in Detroit was short-lived. After the Detroit Lions officially announced the signing of former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Trystan Colon, the team made a roster decision concerning the 25-year-old defensive back.

In a corresponding move, the Lions waived Wilson with an injury designation, a mere 48 hours after he joined the team. The transaction occurred as the team needed to adjust its roster following the addition of Colon, who is expected to provide depth to Detroit’s offensive line.

Notably, center Frank ragnow has yet to appear on the official NFL transaction report after his reported retirement. The team’s personnel department needed to reduce the roster by one player to accommodate Colon.

Throughout his career, Wilson has accumulated 10 tackles and one pass defended, with previous tenures at the Giants, cardinals, and Jaguars.

The Lions’ defensive backs unit is considered strong, potentially making it challenging for Wilson, the former UCF player, to secure a spot on the team during training camp.

Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw are anticipated to progress alongside veteran D.J. Reed, who has expressed his admiration for the talent within Detroit’s secondary.
